Earth is a small city located in Lamb County, which is in West Texas, United States. In 2022, about 999 people lived there.

History of Earth
Earth was started by William E. Halsell. He planned out the town in 1924. At first, he called the city Fairlawn.
However, in 1925, they found out there was already a town named Fairlawn in Texas. So, the people of the town needed a new name. They sent in their ideas. The name "Earth" was chosen as the best one. Ora Hume (O.H.) Reeves, who owned the city hotel, suggested the name "Earth." Mr. Reeves' son-in-law, Frank Wesley Hyatt, became the first postmaster in Earth.
Geography and Climate
Earth is found on the high plains of a large flat area called the Llano Estacado. The city covers a total area of about 1.2 square miles (3.1 square kilometers).
What is the Climate Like?
Earth has a climate with warm summers and mild winters. The average temperature for the whole year is about 58.6°F (14.8°C). Summers are hot, with July being the warmest month. Winters are cooler, and January is usually the coldest month.
The area gets about 19 inches (48 cm) of rain each year. Most of the rain falls in the late spring and summer months. Snowfall is light, with about 7.8 inches (19.8 cm) of snow per year.
