The East Prairie Metis Settlement is a special community in northern Alberta, Canada. It is a place where Métis people live and have their own government. This settlement is part of Big Lakes County.
East Prairie is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Highway 2. It is also about 168 kilometers (104 miles) east of Grande Prairie. The settlement was started in 1939.
