The western edge of East Long Beach is a bit harder to define. Some people say it includes Lakewood Boulevard. Others include the Long Beach Municipal Airport as part of its western border.

This large area includes parts of several postal codes, such as 90815, 90808, 90804, and 90803. It sits next to the Traffic Circle and the California State University, Long Beach campus. It also borders nearby cities like Lakewood, Hawaiian Gardens, Cypress, and Los Alamitos.
