Ibrahim Jamil "Ebro" Darden (born March 17, 1975) is a well-known American radio personality, broadcaster, and DJ. He is famous for being a co-host on the Ebro in the Morning show on Hot 97, a popular radio station in New York. He hosts this show with Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez. Since 2015, Ebro Darden has also hosted a hip hop music radio show on Apple Music 1. Before 2014, he was also in charge of programming for Hot 97.

Early Life and Background
Ebro Darden was born on March 17, 1975. His father was Black, and his mother was Jewish. He grew up in Oakland and Sacramento, where he attended both a Pentecostal church and Hebrew school.
Ebro's Radio Career
Starting in Radio
Ebro Darden began his journey in radio very early, in 1990, when he was still a teenager. He started at KSFM in Sacramento, California. At KSFM, he first worked in research and as a sales runner. Later, he moved into programming as an intern. He then became a co-host for KSFM's night and morning shows.
In 1997, he moved to KBMB in Sacramento. There, he was the programming and music director, and also hosted an afternoon show. Ebro eventually became the operations manager at KBMB. At the same time, in 1999, he also co-hosted morning shows at KXJM in Portland, Oregon.
Working at Hot 97
In 2003, Ebro Darden joined WQHT, also known as Hot 97, as the music director. By 2007, he became the program director for the station. This meant he was in charge of what music and shows were played.
Ebro worked with many other hosts on the Hot 97 Morning Show. These included Miss Jones, DJ Envy, Sway, and Joe Budden between 2004 and 2007. In 2009, he helped bring Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg to the morning show. In 2012, Ebro himself rejoined the Hot 97 Morning Show, working with Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez.
As both a program director and a host, Ebro was a key voice for many important events at Hot 97. In 2014, VH1 announced a new comedy TV series called This Is Hot 97. Ebro Darden was featured in this show along with other hosts like Angie Martinez, Funkmaster Flex, Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, Miss Info, and Laura Stylez.
Radio Shows Across the Country
In September 2020, the Ebro in the Morning with Laura Stylez and Rosenberg show started being broadcast to many different radio stations through Superadio Networks. This meant more people across the country could listen to their show.
Ebro on Apple Music 1
Besides his role at Hot 97, Ebro Darden is also one of the main DJs on Apple Music 1. This is an internet radio service from Apple Music. He also holds an important position as the Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B for Apple Music. This means he helps decide what hip-hop and R&B music is featured on the platform worldwide.
