Edward Gray (born September 27, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player. He was chosen by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the 1997 NBA draft. He was the 22nd player picked overall that year.

College Basketball Journey

Ed Gray started his college basketball career at the University of Tennessee. After one year, he moved to the College of Southern Idaho, which is a junior college. He then transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, often called "Cal."

During his senior year at Cal in 1997, Ed Gray was a standout player. He was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year. This award recognized him as the best player in his conference. That season, he averaged an impressive 24.8 points per game.
