Edward Kobie Stokes (born September 3, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a center, which is usually the tallest player on the team.
College Basketball Career
Ed Stokes went to the University of Arizona for college. He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats from 1989 to 1993. During his time there, he scored 984 points and grabbed 644 rebounds. He also blocked 167 shots, which means he stopped opponents from scoring.
Professional Basketball Journey
In 1993, Ed Stokes was chosen by the Miami Heat in the 1993 NBA draft. He was the 35th player picked overall. He started his professional career playing in the Greek Basket League for a team called Panionios.
