Edward Rubin Griffin (born July 15, 1968) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is famous for his funny performances on stage and in movies. You might know him as Eddie Sherman from the TV show Malcolm & Eddie. He also played the main character in the movie Undercover Brother (2002).
Eddie Griffin was also in movies like John Q. (2002), Scary Movie 3 (2003), and Norbit (2007). He even used his voice for the character of Richard Pryor in the cartoon series Black Dynamite. Comedy Central, a TV channel for comedy, once listed him as one of the top 100 greatest stand-up comedians ever.

Early life
Eddie Griffin was born in Kansas City, Missouri. His mother, Doris Thomas, raised him. She worked as a phone company operator. His family followed the Jehovah's Witnesses faith.
When he was 16, in 1984, he moved to Compton, California. He lived there with his cousins. Later, he became a father and joined the U.S. Navy. He left the Navy after a few months. To earn money, he worked as a dancer and painted houses.
Career
Eddie Griffin started his comedy career in 1989. He was at a comedy club's open-mic night. Someone dared him to go on stage. He told funny stories about his family and got a standing ovation!
After that, he started getting stand-up comedy shows. He performed in his hometown and in Los Angeles. He became well-known at The Comedy Store, a famous comedy club. He would often surprise audiences by performing long sets.
Griffin has been in many movies. Some of his film roles include The Meteor Man (1993) and Double Take (2001). He also appeared in Undercover Brother (2002) and Norbit (2007).
On television, he starred in Malcolm & Eddie from 1996 to 2000. He also appeared on Chappelle's Show in a skit called "World Series of Dice." He has performed on music albums by Dr. Dre and The D.O.C.. You might have also seen him in commercials for Miller Beer.
In 2011, Comedy Central released his stand-up special called You Can Tell 'Em I Said It. Later, in December 2019, his special E-Niggma was released on Showtime.
Personal life
Eddie Griffin has been married four times. He married his first wife, Carla, in 1984 when he was 16. They divorced in 1997. His second marriage was to Rochelle in 2002, and they divorced in 2009.
On September 8, 2011, he married Nia Rivers. However, they decided to divorce after only one month. Their divorce was finalized six months later in 2012. He married his fourth wife, Ko Lee Griffin, on July 27, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
