Edida Nageswara Rao (born April 24, 1934 – died October 4, 2015) was a famous Indian film producer. He worked mainly in Telugu cinema, which is the film industry in the Telugu language. He was known for making movies that had a classic and realistic feel. His film company was called Poornodaya Movie Creations.
Many of the films he produced won important awards, like the National Film Awards. He also won five state Nandi Awards. Some of his well-known films include Siri Siri Muvva (1976), Sankarabharanam (1980), Swati Mutyam (1986), and Swayam Krushi (1987). These movies were even shown at the Moscow Film Festival! His film Swati Mutyam was chosen to represent India at the Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars) for Best Foreign Language Film.
