Edmund "Adam" Adamkiewicz (born April 21, 1920 – died April 4, 1991) was a German footballer. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the main attackers on the team, trying to score goals. Edmund was born in Hamburg, Germany, and had a long career playing for several different clubs.

Early Football Career
Edmund Adamkiewicz started his football journey in Wilhelmsburg. His first team was Viktoria Wilhelmsburg. He played there from 1936 to 1939. After that, he joined Hamburger SV, a famous German club, for his first time in early 1940.
Playing for Germany
Adamkiewicz also got to play for the Germany national football team. He played in two international matches in 1942. On November 22, 1942, he scored his only goal for the national team. These games happened during a time when World War II was taking place.
Post-War Club Career
After the war ended, Edmund Adamkiewicz continued his football career. For the 1946–47 season, he played for Eintracht Frankfurt. He appeared in 21 games for them.
Return to Hamburg
In 1947, he came back to Hamburger SV. During his time there, he became the team's top goal-scorer in two different seasons. He stayed with Hamburger SV until 1951.
Later Clubs
After leaving Hamburger SV in 1951, Adamkiewicz played for VfB Mühlburg. Later, he joined Karlsruher SC. He then returned to Hamburg one more time to play for Harburger TB from 1953 to 1955. He played 50 games for them.
Life After Football
After he stopped playing professional football, Edmund Adamkiewicz started a new job. He worked as a haulage contractor, which means he managed the transport of goods. In 1956, he had an accident at work where he injured his arm. Edmund Adamkiewicz passed away on April 4, 1991, at the age of 70.
