Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé was born on March 2, 1956. He is a Bolivian judge and lawyer. He served as the 64th president of Bolivia for a short time. This happened from 2005 to 2006. He became president when the previous president, Carlos Mesa, resigned. This was during a time of political trouble in Bolivia. Before becoming president, he was the main judge of Bolivia's highest court, the Supreme Court of Bolivia.

Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, in 1956. He studied law at a university in Cochabamba. Later, he earned a special degree in public administration. This degree helps people learn how to manage government and public services. He studied at Harvard University in the United States.
Before becoming president, Rodríguez Veltzé worked as an ambassador. An ambassador is a country's official representative in another country. He was Bolivia's ambassador to the Netherlands. While there, he also worked with the International Court of Justice. This court helps solve legal problems between countries.
Becoming President of Bolivia
In 2005, Bolivia faced some political challenges. The president at the time, Carlos Mesa, decided to step down. This created a need for a new leader. Usually, the next person in line would be the head of the Senate or the Chamber of Deputies. But they also decided not to take the job.
Because of this, Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé became president. He was the head of the country's court system. This made him the next person in line according to the country's rules. He took office on June 10, 2005. His main job was to make sure new elections happened quickly. This would help Bolivia choose a new leader.
Evo Morales won the election held in December 2005. Rodríguez Veltzé's time as president ended when Morales became the new president.
