Domingo Antonio Edjang Moreno (born 28 April 1977), known as El Chojin, is a famous Spanish rapper and songwriter. His stage name, Chojin, is pronounced like the Japanese word for "superhuman." He holds a Guinness World Record for rapping the most syllables in one minute!

Early Life
El Chojin was born in Torrejón de Ardoz, a town near Madrid, Spain. His father was from Equatorial Guinea, and his mother was from Spain.
Music Career
El Chojin started his rap journey as part of the WFN crew. Later, he joined the group 995 and released four albums with them.
As a solo artist, he has released many albums. Two of his albums, Cuando Hay Obstáculos... (When There Are Obstacles...) and ...Jamás Intentes Negarlo (...Never Try to Deny It), have initials that spell out C.H.O.J.I.N. In 2004, he released a free demo called Rap por placer (Rap for Pleasure).
His album 8jin, released in 2005, talked about important topics like being professional in rap and standing up against unfair treatment. The cover for this album was chosen from nearly 400 designs sent in by fans through a contest on his website!
He later released Aún rap por placer (Still, Rap For Pleasure), which was also available for free download. In 2009, he released a big album called Cosas que pasan, que no pasan y que deberían pasar (Things that Happen, Don't Happen, and Should Happen). This album had 30 songs and featured many different artists, including other rappers, singers, and even a comedian.
Speaking Out Through Music
El Chojin is well-known for the strong messages in his songs. His album Mi turno (My Turn) is one of his most powerful works. A major theme in many of his songs is the unfair treatment of immigrants. Even though he was born and grew up in Spain, he understands these problems because of his skin color. He has shared his experiences in songs like "Yo no soy de esos" (I'm Not One of Those), "Mami, el negro está rabioso" (Mommy, the Black Guy is Angry), and "Cara sucia" (Dirty Face).
Amnesty International, a group that works for human rights, has used his songs in their campaigns. One song was used for their "Ponte en mi piel" (Put Yourself in My Skin) campaign to raise awareness about immigration. Another song, "El final del cuento de hadas" (The End of the Fairy Tale), was used in a campaign against violence and unfair treatment.
Besides music, El Chojin has also written poetry and articles. In 2007, he wrote and starred in a play called El alma de Alexander Oboe (The Soul of Alexander Oboe). He has also worked on movie soundtracks and created what he calls "the first rap opera in Spanish," named Rimas para todos los públicos (Rhymes for All Audiences).
Since 2010, El Chojin has appeared on a TV show called Noticias 2 every Wednesday. He performs a rap song that summarizes the week's news!
World Record
On 23 December 2008, El Chojin tried to break a world record for rapping syllables. He didn't beat the record for 42.2 seconds, but he set his own new record! He rapped 921 syllables in one minute on his song "Vo-ca-li-za." That's about 15 syllables every second! As of 2015, his record for 921 syllables in 60 seconds had not been officially beaten.
