El Vendrell (pronounced "el ben-DRELL") is a lively town in Catalonia, Spain. It's located in the Tarragona province, within the Penedès region, which is famous for its delicious wine. The town is nestled between the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and the coastal mountains.
El Vendrell is the main town of the Baix Penedès area, known as a comarca (a type of region in Catalonia). It's also a popular spot for tourists, especially because of its lovely beaches like Comarruga, Sant Salvador, and El Vendrell beach itself. The name "Vendrell" is also a Catalan family name.
