Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren (born on January 1, 1980) is a Swedish former model and nanny. She became well-known for her marriage to famous professional golfer Tiger Woods from 2004 until their divorce in 2010.

Early Life and Education
Where Elin Grew Up
Elin Nordegren was born in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. Her mother, Barbro Holmberg, was a politician who served as a minister for migration and asylum policy in Sweden. She was also the Governor of Gävleborg County. Elin's father, Thomas Nordegren, is a radio journalist who worked as a bureau chief in Washington, D.C.
School Days and Early Jobs
Elin has an older brother named Axel and a twin sister named Josefin. When Elin was seven, her parents divorced. To help pay for their studies, Elin and her sister worked summer jobs as cashiers in supermarkets. In 1997, they moved to Germany with their father for a year. There, they studied English and German at the John F. Kennedy School, Berlin. Elin also started modeling in 2000 and appeared on the cover of Cafe Sport magazine that summer.
College Life
Elin Nordegren continued her education later in life. In May 2014, she graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She earned a degree in psychology and received a special award for being an outstanding senior. She even gave a speech at her graduation ceremony.
Personal Life
Meeting Tiger Woods
Before becoming famous, Elin Nordegren worked at a clothing store in Stockholm. There, she met Mia Parnevik, who was married to Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik. Mia hired Elin to be an au pair (a helper for children) for their family, which meant Elin moved to the United States.
Elin met Tiger Woods during the 2001 Open Championship golf tournament. Tiger had wanted to meet her for a while, but Elin was dating someone else at the time. Mia Parnevik mentioned that Elin wasn't interested in Tiger at first, and many other golfers also wanted to meet her. At that time, Elin hoped to become a child psychologist.
Marriage and Children
In November 2003, Tiger Woods proposed to Elin Nordegren at a luxury wildlife reserve in South Africa. They got engaged and were married in October 2004. Their wedding took place at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados. Tiger Woods rented the entire resort for a week, including its golf courses and many rooms, for their special day.
Elin and Tiger had two children together. Their daughter, Sam Alexis, was born in 2007. In 2009, they welcomed their son, Charlie Axel.
Divorce and New Beginnings
In December 2009, Elin Nordegren's marriage to Tiger Woods became a big topic in the news. After some personal challenges became public, Tiger Woods announced he would take a break from golf to focus on his marriage. However, these efforts were not successful. Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods finalized their divorce on August 23, 2010, in Florida. Elin's legal team included her sister, Josefin, who is a lawyer.
After her divorce, Elin Nordegren bought a large mansion in Florida. The house was built in the 1920s. An architect suggested it would be better to rebuild the house to meet modern safety standards, especially for hurricanes. So, Elin had the entire structure taken down. Before the demolition in December 2011, she allowed Habitat for Humanity to come in for four weeks. They were able to save and reuse many valuable items from the home, like a large fountain, refrigerators, and other furniture. These items were then sold at a Habitat for Humanity warehouse to help others.
Later Relationships and Family
After her divorce, Elin Nordegren had other relationships. In 2011, she dated American businessman Jamie Dingman for less than a year. From 2013 to 2017, she dated American entrepreneur Chris Cline.
In June 2019, it was announced that Elin was expecting a child with former National Football League player Jordan Cameron. Their son, Arthur, was born in October 2019. In December 2022, Elin gave birth to their second child, a daughter. The couple also has a third child together.
