Elisabetta Canalis (born September 12, 1978) is an Italian actress, model, and television host. She is known for her work in both Italian and American TV shows and movies.

Early Life and Education
Elisabetta Canalis was born in the city of Sassari, on the island of Sardinia, Italy. Her father, Cesare, was a radiologist (a doctor who uses X-rays) at the University of Sassari. Her mother, Bruna, was a teacher. She also has a brother named Luigi.
Canalis attended a "classical" high school in Sassari, where she studied subjects like literature and history. After graduating, she moved to Milan to study foreign languages at the University of Milan. However, she left her studies at age 21 to start her career in television as a dancer.
Career in Entertainment
Acting and TV Hosting
From 1999 to 2002, Canalis was a dancer on the popular Italian TV show Striscia la notizia. This role made her a well-known personality in Italy.
She later began acting and hosting. In 2007, she co-hosted Festivalbar, a famous Italian summer music festival. In 2009, she became the host of the Italian version of Total Request Live on MTV. She also hosted the Trofeo Birra Moretti in 2008, a soccer tournament with famous teams like A.C. Milan and Juventus.
In 2010, Canalis appeared in the American TV series Leverage. The next year, she co-hosted Italy's most famous song competition, the Sanremo Music Festival, where she interviewed actor Robert De Niro.
In 2011, she competed on the American show Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy. In 2015, she became a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF Italy, helping to support children's rights.
Modeling Work
Canalis has had a successful modeling career. She has appeared on the cover of many magazines, including the Spanish version of Vogue and the Italian version of Vanity Fair.

Elisabetta Canalis has been in relationships with several famous people. She was once engaged to Italian soccer player Christian Vieri. She also dated American actor George Clooney for about two years, and they broke up in 2011.
On September 14, 2014, Canalis married Brian Perri, an American surgeon, in Sardinia. On September 29, 2015, they had a daughter named Skyler Eva. The couple separated in 2023.
