Elise Hofmann's expertise was recognized by important organizations. In 1931, she became a correspondent for the Geological Survey of Austria. This meant she was an expert advisor to them.

Two years later, in 1933, she also became a correspondent for the Landesmuseum Niederösterreich [de]. This museum is in Lower Austria. Being a correspondent showed how much her work was valued.
