Eliseo Arredondo de la Garza (born May 5, 1870 – died October 18, 1923) was an important Mexican politician and diplomat. He worked for the government of President Venustiano Carranza, who was his cousin and also his father-in-law.
Eliseo Arredondo held several key roles. He briefly served as the Secretary of the Interior, which is like a top government minister. He was also a federal congressman in the Chamber of Deputies, helping to make laws for Mexico.
As a diplomat, he played a big part in talks with the famous revolutionary leader, Pancho Villa. While working in Washington, D.C. as a chargé d'affaires (a type of diplomat), he helped the United States government officially recognize Carranza's leadership in Mexico.
