Eliza Wheeler (born December 21, 1982) is an American writer and artist. She creates wonderful books for children. She is known for both writing her own stories and drawing the pictures for books by other authors.
Her book Miss Maple's Seeds became a New York Times bestseller. It has sold more than a million copies! Eliza also drew the pictures for Doll Bones by Holly Black. This book received a special award called the Newbery Medal Honor in 2014. She also illustrated Tell Me A Tattoo Story by Alison McGhee and Wherever You Go by Pat Zietlow-Miller. Another book she illustrated is The Grudge Keeper by Mara Rockliff.
Eliza lives in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Stout in 2006. She earned a degree in Graphic Design.
