Ellen Muth (born March 6, 1981) is an American actress who is now retired from acting. She is best known for her main role as Georgia "George" Lass in the TV series Dead Like Me, which aired from 2003 to 2004, and its movie in 2009.

Early Life and Education
Ellen Muth was born in Milford, Connecticut, in the United States. Her parents are Eric and Rachel Muth.
Ellen is known for being very smart. She was a member of Intertel and Mensa, which are special groups for people with high IQs. She also studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Acting Career
Ellen Muth started her career as a model for a short time. After that, she decided to become an actress. She began by appearing in commercials in 1993.
First Roles and Recognition
Her first big movie role was in the 1995 film Dolores Claiborne. She then appeared in an episode of the popular TV show Law & Order.
In 1999, Ellen starred in the movie The Young Girl and the Monsoon. Critics praised her acting in this film, saying she was great at showing different sides of her character. She was especially good when acting alongside her character's father.
Television Work
In 2000, Ellen appeared in episodes of The Beat and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also had a role in "Cora Unashamed," a TV movie based on a short story by Langston Hughes. That same year, Ellen played the main character in the Lifetime movie The Truth About Jane, which was about a high school girl learning to accept herself.
Ellen Muth became very well-known for her role as Georgia "George" Lass in the Showtime TV series Dead Like Me. In this show, she played one of a team of grim reapers, who are characters responsible for guiding souls after death. The series ran from 2003 to 2004.
Later Projects and Retirement
After Dead Like Me, Ellen took on some smaller roles. She voiced a character in an animated short called Tofu the Vegan Zombie. In 2009, she returned to play George Lass in the movie Dead Like Me: Life After Death, which was a continuation of the TV series.
In 2012, Ellen appeared in the romantic comedy movie Margarine Wars. Her last acting roles were in 2013, when she made a guest appearance in two episodes of the TV series Hannibal.
In 2015, Ellen Muth shared that she had decided to take a break from acting. Since then, she has focused on other interests, including a coffee business and breeding cats.
