Elton Lewis Pollock (born April 17, 1973) is an American college baseball coach. He used to be a center fielder in baseball. Today, Elton Pollock is the head coach for the Presbyterian Blue Hose baseball team.

Elton's Early Life and Sports
Elton Pollock grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. He went to Irmo High School there. At school, Elton was a talented athlete. He played for the main school teams in both baseball and football.
After high school, Elton went to Presbyterian College. He continued to play both baseball and football for the Presbyterian Blue Hose college teams.
Elton's College Baseball Stats
Elton had a great baseball career at Presbyterian College. He hit 34 home runs during his time there. He also scored 169 runs for his team. His strong hitting helped his team a lot.
Elton's Professional Baseball Career
After college, Elton Pollock was chosen to play professional baseball. The Pittsburgh Pirates picked him in the 1995 Major League Baseball draft. He was the 405th player chosen that year.
Playing in the Minor Leagues
Elton started his professional journey with the Erie SeaWolves. This team was in a league for newer players. He played well, hitting .299 (meaning he got a hit almost 30% of the time he tried). He also hit two home runs for them.
Later in 1995, he moved to another team, the Augusta GreenJackets. This team was in a slightly higher league. He played for the GreenJackets in 1995 and 1996. In 1996, he hit 5 home runs and helped his team score 47 runs. Elton decided to stop playing baseball professionally after the 1996 season.
Elton's Coaching Journey
Elton Pollock started his coaching career at Presbyterian College in 2002. He began as a full-time assistant coach. After the 2003 season, he worked as a volunteer assistant. He also worked at a baseball training center nearby.
Becoming Head Coach
In the fall of 2004, Elton Pollock became the head coach for the Presbyterian baseball team. He helped the team move from Division II to Division I in 2008. This was a big step up for the team.
Key Coaching Achievements
Under Coach Pollock, the Blue Hose team has had many successes. In 2017, they had their best season in Division I history. They won 32 games and finished 3rd in the Big South Conference.
In 2021, his team won the Big South Conference Tournament. This was a major achievement for the team. In 2024, they won the Big South regular season title. Elton was also named the Big South Coach of the Year in 2024. His overall coaching record is 415 wins, 644 losses, and 1 tie.
