Elza's Film Journey
Early Films and Success
Elza Kephart's first major film was Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse in Love. She wrote the story, directed the movie, and helped produce it. This film was released in 2003. Critics really liked it because it was a fun horror movie with a unique style. It also looked like old black-and-white films.
Graveyard Alive was shown at more than 20 film festivals around the world. It won many awards and was even picked up for distribution, meaning more people could watch it.
Working on Other Movies
After her first film, Elza helped with other movie projects. In 2005, she provided computer support for a movie called The Greatest Game Ever Played. The next year, in 2006, she worked as an assistant to director Tony Goldwyn on his film The Last Kiss.
She also appeared in a 2009 documentary about women in horror films.
Recent Works
In 2013, Elza Kephart released another film called Go Into the Wilderness. This movie was filmed in a very remote area of Quebec, Canada.
More recently, in 2020, Elza finished her horror-comedy movie Slaxx. This film became a Shudder Original title and was released in March 2021.
