Emden is a small village located in Logan County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 467 people lived there. The village was named after Emden, Germany. This is because many of the first people to settle here came from villages along the River Ems in Germany.
The very first newspaper in Emden was called The Emden Star. It started publishing in 1893.
