Emerson Floyd Martin was born on May 6, 1970. He is a former American football player. He played as a guard in the National Football League (NFL).

Emerson Martin's Playing Career
Emerson Martin played for several teams during his football career. He was a guard, which is an important position on the offensive line. Guards help protect the quarterback and block for running backs.
NFL Experience
Martin joined the Carolina Panthers in January 1995. This was when the Panthers were a new team. He played in two games for them that year. He even started one game.
He also played for the Kansas City Chiefs in 1994. Later, he spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers in different years. He played for them from 1995 to 1996, and again in 1997 and 1998.
Other Leagues
Beyond the NFL, Martin played in other football leagues. He was with the Barcelona Dragons in NFL Europe in 1997 and 1998. He also played in the Arena Football League (AFL). His AFL teams included the Albany Firebirds in 1998, the New England Sea Wolves in 1999, and the Carolina Cobras in 2000. In 1999, he played for the Mobile Admirals in the Regional Football League.
Coaching and Mentoring Young Athletes
After his playing days, Emerson Martin became a football coach. He has coached at many different levels. He is known for helping young players get better.
Early Coaching Roles
Martin started coaching with the AFL Carolina Cobras from 2000 to 2002. He coached the offensive linemen. He then coached at East Bladen High School and Saint Augustine University.
Helping Players Reach Their Goals
From 2011 to 2019, Martin was the CEO of Players 2 Pros, LLC. This program helps young athletes prepare for college football. He is very good at finding talented players. He helps them get into Division I (FBS), Division I (FCS), and Division II schools.
Martin also coached at Village Christian Academy. He led their team to state championship games two years in a row. He is known for building strong teams.
Professional Coaching Opportunities
Emerson Martin has also worked with NFL teams. He was a Bill Walsh Intern for the Indianapolis Colts in 2019 and 2020. This program helps coaches gain experience in the NFL.
More recently, he coached offensive linemen for the USFL Pittsburgh Maulers from 2022 to 2024. As of 2024, he is coaching offensive linemen at Warner University.
