Emilia Ingrid Maria Andersson Ramboldt (born August 31, 1988) is a talented ice hockey player from Sweden. She plays as a defenceman, which is a player who helps protect their team's goal. Emilia was a key member of the Swedish national ice hockey team for twelve seasons.

During her time with the national team, she played in eight World Championships. She also represented Sweden at the Winter Olympics three times: in 2010, 2014, and 2018. In the 2014–15 season, Emilia Ramboldt was even named the Player of the Year in the top Swedish league, Riksserien.

Emilia's Hockey Journey

Emilia Ramboldt was born on August 31, 1988, in Sollentuna, Sweden. This area is close to the big city of Stockholm. When she was a kid, Emilia spent a lot of time at the ice rink. Her three older brothers all played hockey.

She once asked her mom if she could try figure skating since they were always at the rink. But her mom encouraged her to play ice hockey instead! Emilia's first hockey club was Gillbo IF. A famous NHL player, Patric Hörnqvist, also started at this club. Emilia and Patric often played pick-up games together with other kids from their neighborhood.

Playing in College (NCAA)

Emilia also played college hockey in the United States. She joined the Minnesota State Mavericks team. In her first year, she scored 18 points. Many of her points came when her team had a power play, meaning they had more players on the ice.

She was the top-scoring freshman on her team. She was also the second-highest scoring defenceman overall.

Emilia's Family Life

Emilia Andersson started a family with Anna Ramboldt in Linköping, Sweden, on June 13, 2015. Anna is originally from Minnesota in the United States. She went to Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. There, Anna played softball as an infielder and studied criminal justice.

Emilia and Anna met through a friend in 2012 and began dating. In 2017, their son, Walter, was born.

Playing for Sweden (International Games)

Emilia Andersson has played in many important international tournaments for Sweden. She competed in the Swedish Champion Cup. Her team finished first in 2006–07 and second in 2007–08.

She was also part of the Swedish team for the 4 Nations Tournament in December 2015. This tournament brings together national teams from four different countries to compete.
