Emily Little (born March 29, 1994) is an amazing Australian gymnast. She's known for her incredible skills in artistic gymnastics. Emily won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games as part of the Australian team. She also proudly represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

About Emily Little

Emily, often called "Em," was born on March 29, 1994. Her hometown is Perth, in Western Australia, where she still lives. She went to City Beach Primary School and then to Churchlands Senior High School. Emily is 152 centimeters (about 5 feet) tall.

Emily Little is a talented Australian artistic gymnast. She trained at the Western Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Institute of Sport. Since 2003, her coaches have been Martine George and Nikolai Lapchine.

Emily was a member of Australia's senior national gymnastics team for four years. For the 2012 Olympics, her coach was Peggy Liddick. Emily often started off the team's routines.

Major Achievements

Emily won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games with the Australian team. She also earned a silver medal in the individual all-around competition at the same games. In 2010 and 2011, she helped the Australian team finish in sixth place at the Artistic World Championships.

Olympic Dreams

At the 2012 Australian Gymnastics Championships in Sydney, Emily finished second overall. She also won two silver medals in the floor and vault events. This competition was an important step for gymnasts hoping to make the Olympic team.

In June 2012, Emily was one of three Australian female gymnasts chosen for the 2012 Summer Olympics. She competed in the women's team event. To get ready for the Olympics, she even practiced with bright lights and loud noises to prepare for the big stage!

Later Competitions

In March 2015, Emily was invited to the AT&T American Cup. This competition featured many world champions, like Simone Biles. Emily did very well, placing seventh.

In May 2015, Emily competed in the Australian Gymnastics Championships. She finished second in the All-Around finals. She also won the vault final with a score of 15.3. Emily placed third in the balance beam finals and second in the floor finals.

A Difficult Injury

In 2017, during the Australian National Championships, Emily had a serious injury. She was performing her floor routine when she had a mistimed flip. This injury meant that she could no longer compete in gymnastics.
