Emma Wright, born on November 16, 1996, is a talented Canadian water polo player. She is a key member of the Canadian national women's water polo team. Emma also played water polo during her time at the University of California, Berkeley.

Emma's Water Polo Journey
Emma started playing water polo when she was 9 years old. She quickly became a strong player. As a young athlete, she competed in many important events.
Youth Achievements
Emma won a silver medal at the 2012 Junior Pan American Games. The very next year, in 2013, she helped her team win a gold medal at the Junior Pan American Games. She also earned a silver medal at the 2014 FINA Youth World Championships. These early successes showed her great potential in the sport.
Senior Team Highlights
As a senior player, Emma continued to achieve great things. She has won three silver medals at the Pan American Games. These were in 2015 (Toronto), 2019 (Lima), and 2023 (Santiago). She also helped her team win a silver medal at the 2017 FINA World League. These achievements show her consistent performance at a high level.
Emma at the Tokyo Olympics
Emma Wright made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The games were held in 2021 due to a delay. She was one of 371 Canadian athletes competing there. Emma scored seven goals during the tournament. Team Canada finished in 7th place in the water polo competition.
About Emma's Life
Emma attended the University of California, Berkeley. She comes from a family of athletes. Her older sister, Claire, also plays water polo for Team Canada. Claire was also part of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic water polo team. Their uncle, Jeff Beukeboom, was a professional ice hockey player. He played in the NHL for the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers.
