Emmy's Early Music Career

Emmy's music journey began very quickly. In 1993, she recorded her first song, "Hayastan," and released its music video. She won many awards at singing competitions. These competitions took place in Armenia, Russia, Turkey, and other parts of Europe. From 1994 to 2000, she sang and toured with a group called Hayer. This group was an all-female folk-pop quartet.

Other Exciting Projects

Emmy also runs her own company called Emmy-B Production Center. This company helps find new young music talents in Armenia. It supports them in starting their careers.

In 2014, Emmy became a judge on a popular TV show. She was a judge for the third season of the Armenian version of The X Factor. This show helps new singers become stars.

Emmy at the Eurovision Song Contest

In February 2010, Emmy tried to represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. She teamed up with singer Mihran. Their song was called "Hey (Let Me Hear You Say)." Even famous singer Ricky Martin supported their song. They came in second place in the Armenian pre-selection. Eva Rivas won that year with her song "Apricot Stone."

Emmy then got another chance to represent Armenia. She went to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The contest took place on May 10. Unfortunately, Emmy did not make it to the final round. This made her the first Armenian act in Eurovision history not to reach the final.
