Enathu is a lively village located in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. It is part of the Adoor Thaluk region. This village is an important hub, connecting different parts of Kerala and even some areas of Tamil Nadu.

Where is Enathu?
Enathu is situated about 8 kilometers away from the main Adoor Municipality. To its east, you'll find the town of Kottarakkara. The village also shares a border with the Kollam district.
Important Places and Features
Enathu is known for several interesting features. It was once famous for an old bridge built by the British. This bridge crossed the Kallada River and connected the Pathanamthitta district and Kollam district via the Main Central (MC) road. Even though the original bridge was demolished, its history is still remembered.
The village is home to the Enathu Mahadevar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is a very old and respected temple located right in the Enathu junction. A major festival celebrated here is "Chandanakkudam," which takes place on December 6th.
Close to Enathu is the historical place called Mannadi. This spot is famous because of its connection to Velu Thampi Dalawa, a brave leader from Kerala's past.
Enathu has many modern facilities for its residents. You can find a police station, a post office, banks, and several hospitals here. There are also petrol pumps and various businesses, including software companies.
A Glimpse into History
While Enathu was never directly under British rule, it did see visits from British engineers like Madeline. These engineers helped build important structures like bridges and other facilities for the people living in the area.
