The Energy Events Centre is a cool place in Rotorua, New Zealand. It's a big building where lots of different things happen. You can watch sports, go to concerts, or attend big meetings there.
This centre can hold up to 3,500 people. It first opened its doors in February 2007. Peter McLeod, who passed away in 2015, was a key person in making the centre happen.

A Place for All Kinds of Events
This centre is very flexible. It can be set up for many different activities. Imagine watching your favourite band play live. Or seeing a big exhibition with lots of cool displays. It's also used for large banquets and important conferences.
Home to Exciting Sports
The centre is a popular venue for sports fans. It often hosts professional games. Two major teams have played some of their matches here.
Netball Action with the Magic
The main court at the centre is a special home for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic netball team. This team plays in the ANZ Championship. While their main home is in Hamilton, they often play exciting games here in Rotorua. They also use another venue in Tauranga.
Basketball Thrills with the Breakers
The Energy Events Centre has also hosted professional basketball. On May 13, 2021, the New Zealand Breakers team announced something exciting. They played an Australian National Basketball League game against the Cairns Taipans at the centre on June 2, 2021. This was the first time the venue hosted a regular season game for that league.
