Where is Enilda Located?
Enilda is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) west of Highway 49. It is also located about 97 kilometers (60 miles) northeast of a larger city called Grande Prairie.
How Did Enilda Get Its Name?
The name "Enilda" has an interesting story! It comes from the name of Adline Tompkins, who was an early postmaster's wife in the area. Her name was simply spelled backwards to create "Enilda."
