Enrique García-Herreros Codesido (born December 29, 1903 – died September 18, 1977) was a very talented Spanish artist. He was known for many things! He was a humorist, which means he made people laugh. He was also a drafter, drawing pictures and designs.
Enrique was a great poster artist, creating eye-catching posters. He was a filmmaker, making movies, and a mountaineer, someone who loves climbing mountains.
A famous director, Luis García Berlanga, once said that Enrique was the person who invented modern advertising and promotion. Enrique helped discover the singer Nati Mistral. He also managed the career of the famous actress Sara Montiel for many years.
Enrique Herreros was married to Ernestina Maenza Fernández-Calvo. She was an Olympic athlete! They had one child together. Sadly, Enrique died in a climbing accident in the Picos de Europa mountains on September 18, 1977.
