Enuk Pauloosie is an Inuk Canadian who used to be a politician. He was chosen to represent the area of Nattilik in Nunavut's government. This happened during the 2008 election. The Nattilik area included the towns of Gjoa Haven and Taloyoak in Nunavut.

Early Life and Career
Enuk Pauloosie was born in 1961. His birthplace was Spence Bay, which is now known as Taloyoak, Nunavut. Before he became a politician, Mr. Pauloosie had many different jobs.
Working in Public Service
He worked for five years as a police officer. This was with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). He served in the communities of Baker Lake and Cambridge Bay.
Community Roles
Mr. Pauloosie also held important roles in his community. He was the General Manager of Housing in Gjoa Haven. He also worked as the Assistant Manager for the Kikertak Co-op in Gjoa Haven. He was a board member for the Gjoa Haven Co-op. He also served on the local Hunters and Trappers Association board.
From 1995 to 1999, he was the Planning and Land Administrator for Gjoa Haven. He also worked as a Lands Officer. This was for the Kivalliq Inuit Association. He worked in Cambridge Bay and Kugluktuk.
Political Journey
In 2008, Enuk Pauloosie decided to run for election. He wanted to represent the Nattilik area in the Nunavut government.
Election Campaign
His campaign focused on several important issues. He cared about housing for people. He also wanted to improve education. He believed schools should teach more Inuit traditional values. Other concerns included economic growth and tourism. He also focused on local town issues.
In the election, 663 people voted. Pauloosie received 229 votes. This was about 34.5% of all votes. He won by 32 votes over the next candidate.
Time in Office
In June 2009, Mr. Pauloosie was temporarily suspended. He was not paid during this time. This happened because he was often absent from meetings. These were meetings of the Legislative Assembly's committees. He returned to his seat later that year.
In November 2009, Pauloosie suggested something new. He asked the Government of Nunavut to stop using Air Canada. He wanted them to support northern airlines instead. These included First Air and Canadian North.
Resignation from Politics
On February 22, 2010, Enuk Pauloosie resigned. He gave a letter to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. He said he was leaving for personal reasons. A special election had to be held within six months.
