Erdahl is a small, quiet community located in Grant County, Minnesota, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of Erdahl Township. You can find Erdahl nestled between two other towns, Evansville and Elbow Lake, right along Minnesota State Highway 79.
A Look Back: Erdahl's History
Erdahl has a simple but interesting past. The community was officially mapped out and planned, a process called "platting," way back in 1887.
Before that, a very important service, a post office, was set up in Erdahl in 1883. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years. It stayed open and served the community until 1954.
