Erica Brown facts for kids
Erica Brown is an American writer and teacher. She gives talks about Jewish topics. She works with the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and helps other Jewish groups. Her column, "Weekly Jewish Wisdom," was in The Washington Post. She is currently a Vice Provost at Yeshiva University. She also leads the Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks-Herenstein Center there. This center focuses on values and leadership.
Before this, Erica was a director and professor at The George Washington University. She worked at the Mayberg Center for Jewish Education and Leadership. Erica has written twelve books. These books are about leadership, the Hebrew Bible, and spirituality. She also has a daily podcast called “Take Your Soul to Work.” She has written a lot about Jewish spirituality and how religion fits into modern life. She also writes about general topics that affect people.
About Erica Brown
Erica Brown went to the Frisch School in New Jersey. She then studied at Stern College of Yeshiva University. She earned master's degrees from Harvard University and the University of London. She also has a doctorate in Jewish history. She got this degree from Baltimore Hebrew College. Erica was also a Jerusalem Fellow.
She is an Avi Chai fellow. She taught as a professor at American University and George Washington University. She is also a faculty member of the Wexner Foundation. Erica Brown lives in Maryland with her husband and their four children.
