Erica Hubbard is an American actress and model. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. Erica is famous for her roles in movies and TV shows.
She played Kiana Anderson in the 2006 movie Akeelah and the Bee. On TV, she was Cassandra "Cassie" Sutton in the series Lincoln Heights (2007–2009). She also played Kita Whitmore on Let's Stay Together (2011–2014). Erica also lent her voice to the character Abbey in the TV series The Replacements.
Erica Hubbard also started her own foundation. It's called "The Erica Hubbard Foundation." This group helps young people in communities that face challenges.

Erica Hubbard's Early Life and Career
Erica Hubbard went to Columbia College Chicago in Chicago. She studied Broadcast Journalism and also took theater classes. She earned her college degree in just three years.
Starting Out in Television
Erica hosted a TV show called Up'N Running. It aired on WPWR, a TV station in Chicago. By the third season of the show, she had already won an Regional Emmy award for her hosting work. She also received a Service To America Award.
Acting and Modeling Beginnings
Erica started acting when she was nine years old. She appeared in commercials for big brands like McDonald's, Reebok, and Kellogg's. In 1997, she was also featured in magazine ads for Noxzema.
Before becoming famous on TV and in movies, Erica began her career as a model. She worked with Ford, a well-known modeling agency. They suggested she get an agent to help her with TV and film roles.

Erica Hubbard has appeared in many popular films. These include Save the Last Dance, A Cinderella Story, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. She was also in Akeelah and the Bee and Simon Says.

The Erica Hubbard Foundation
Erica Hubbard created her own non-profit organization. It's called the 'Erica Hubbard Foundation'. She was inspired to start it because she grew up in a part of Chicago where there was a lot of violence.
Through her foundation, Erica visits community centers, high schools, elementary schools, and churches. She talks to children and encourages them. Erica says, "I encourage them to stay in school and stay off of the streets." She continues to help others by supporting causes like the National Breast Cancer Foundation (United States) and the American Heart Association.
