Erica Tazel (born in 1977) is a talented American actress. She is well-known for her roles in TV shows and plays. Many people know her as US Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks from the TV series Justified, which aired from 2010 to 2015.

Erica Tazel studied acting at two great universities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College. Later, she received a Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Graduate Acting Program. This education helped her prepare for a successful career in acting.
Starting Her Career on Stage
Erica began her professional acting career in theater. Her first big role was in a play called The Winter’s Tale in 2000. She also performed with the famous Royal Shakespeare Company in a play called Cymbeline.
She was recognized for her amazing work in the play I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given To Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda. For this role, she was nominated for an L.A. Drama Critics Circle award in 2007. She also won the NAACP Theatre Award for Best Lead Female for the same role that year.
