Erick O'Brien Green (born May 9, 1991) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for Napoli Basket in Italy's top league, the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA).
Erick was the top scorer in college basketball during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I season. He scored an amazing 25.0 points per game! The Utah Jazz picked him in the 2013 NBA draft, but he was later traded to the Denver Nuggets.

Erick Green's Early Life and High School Basketball
Erick Green was born in Inglewood, California. He grew up in Winchester, Virginia. He played basketball for three years at Millbrook High School.
For his senior year, he moved to Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He helped both Millbrook and Paul VI win state championships! In 2009, he was named the Division I Independent League Player of the Year. He was also chosen as an EA Sports All-American.
College Basketball Career at Virginia Tech
Erick had a tough start in his first year at Virginia Tech in 2009–10. He only averaged 2.6 points per game. This made him work even harder to improve his skills.
Each year, his scoring, rebounding, and assists got better. In his final year (2012–13), he led all of NCAA Division I in scoring. He was named the ACC Player of the Year by the media.
Erick Green's Professional Basketball Journey
Starting in Italy: Montepaschi Siena (2013–2014)
On June 27, 2013, the Utah Jazz picked Erick Green in the NBA draft. He was the 46th player chosen. Soon after, his rights were traded to the Denver Nuggets. He played for the Nuggets in the 2013 NBA Summer League.
In August 2013, Erick signed a one-year contract with Montepaschi Siena in Italy. He played well in the Italian league and the EuroLeague.
Playing in the NBA: Denver Nuggets (2014–2015)
Erick joined the Denver Nuggets again for the 2014 NBA Summer League. He played so well that he signed a three-year contract with the Nuggets in August 2014.
During his time with the Nuggets, he also played for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Development League. In his best game for the Nuggets, he scored 17 points. The Nuggets later released him in November 2015.
NBA D-League and a Return to the Jazz (2015–2016)
In November 2015, Erick joined the Reno Bighorns in the NBA Development League. He quickly became a star there. He was even chosen for the NBA D-League All-Star team in 2016.
He signed a short contract with the Utah Jazz in January 2016. He played a few games for them before returning to the Bighorns. At the end of the season, he was named to the All-NBA D-League First Team.
Playing in Europe: Olympiacos and Valencia (2016–2018)
On July 15, 2016, Erick signed a two-year deal with Olympiacos Piraeus in Greece. He helped his team reach the 2017 EuroLeague Final, a major European basketball championship.
In July 2017, Erick moved to the Spanish club Valencia Basket. He helped Valencia win the 2017 Spanish Supercup. He was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of that tournament!
