Erin Elair Moriarty (born June 24, 1994) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Annie January / Starlight in the popular TV series The Boys, which started in 2019. Before The Boys, she had important roles in shows like Jessica Jones (2015) and True Detective (2014). She has also appeared in well-known independent movies such as The Kings of Summer and Captain Fantastic.

Early Life

Erin Moriarty was born and grew up in New York City. She started acting when she was 11 years old. Her first role was playing Annie in a local theater show of Annie in 2005. After finishing high school, she decided to focus on acting instead of going to college right away.

Starting Out

Erin Moriarty got her first professional acting jobs as a teenager. She appeared in TV shows like One Life to Live and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Some of her first big roles included playing Vince Vaughn's daughter in the 2012 comedy movie The Watch. She also played Kelly, a character in the 2013 indie comedy The Kings of Summer. In the ABC drama series Red Widow, she played Natalie, a daughter trying to find out who killed her father.
