Edward Ernest "Ernie" Courtney (born January 20, 1875 – died February 29, 1920) was an American baseball player. He played as a third baseman and outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). Ernie played for several teams during his career. These included the Boston Beaneaters, Baltimore Orioles, New York Highlanders, Detroit Tigers, and Philadelphia Phillies. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa.
