The Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva, often called Estádio da Ressacada or just Ressacada, is a football stadium in Florianópolis, Brazil. It opened on November 15, 1983. This stadium can hold about 19,000 people.
The stadium belongs to the Avaí football club. Its full name honors Aderbal Ramos da Silva. He was a leader of the Santa Catarina Football Federation and also served as the governor of the state.
The Brazilian national football team has played several matches at Ressacada stadium. The Brazilian Olympic football team has also played games here.
It's important not to mix up this stadium with another one. The Blumenau team also has a stadium called Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva. However, that one is nicknamed DEBA and is much smaller, holding only 4,000 people.
Building the Ressacada Stadium
In 1982, the Avaí football club needed a new home. They bought land near the Hercílio Luz International Airport to build a new stadium. This new stadium would replace their old one, called Estádio Adolfo Konder.
Cairo Bueno was in charge of the building work. The stadium was designed by an architect named Davi Ferreira Lima.
First Game and Special Moments
The very first football match at Ressacada stadium happened on November 15, 1983. In that game, Vasco da Gama played against Avaí. Vasco da Gama won the game with a score of 6-1. The first goal ever scored in the stadium was by Wilson Tadei, a player from Vasco da Gama.
Later, on May 31, 1986, the stadium's lights were turned on for the first time. This meant games could be played at night.
The biggest crowd ever at the stadium was 19,000 people. This record was set on July 17, 1988. On that day, Avaí played against Blumenau in the final of the Campeonato Catarinense and won 2-0.
