Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva, often known as Ressacada Stadium, is a well-known football stadium. It is located in the Carianos neighborhood of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The stadium first opened its doors on November 15, 1983.

It can host around 19,000 fans for exciting matches. The Avaí Football Club owns this stadium. Its official name honors Aderbal Ramos da Silva. He was an important person who led the Santa Catarina Football Federation. He also served as the governor of the state.

Many important games have been played at Ressacada Stadium. Both the Brazilian national football team and the Brazilian Olympic football team have competed here.

It is important not to confuse this stadium with another one. The former stadium of Blumenau was also called Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva. However, that stadium had a different nickname, DEBA, and could only hold about 4,000 people.

History of Ressacada Stadium

Why Was the Stadium Built?

In 1982, the Avaí Football Club needed a new home. They decided to replace their old stadium, Estádio Adolfo Konder. So, they bought a piece of land. This land was conveniently located near the city's airport, the Hercílio Luz International Airport.

Building the Stadium

The construction of the new stadium began soon after. Cairo Bueno was in charge of the building work. The stadium's design was created by the architect Davi Ferreira Lima. Their hard work led to the stadium's completion.

First Game and Special Moments

The very first match at Ressacada Stadium took place on November 15, 1983. In this game, Vasco da Gama played against Avaí. Vasco da Gama won the match with a score of 6-1. The first goal ever scored in the stadium was by Vilson Tadei from Vasco da Gama.

A few years later, on May 31, 1986, the stadium got its lights. This meant games could be played at night.

Record Attendance

Ressacada Stadium has seen many fans over the years. The highest number of people ever at a game was 25,735. This record was set on July 17, 1988. On that day, Avaí beat Blumenau 2-1 in the final of the Campeonato Catarinense tournament.

Exciting Events at Ressacada

Paul McCartney Concerts

Ressacada Stadium is not just for football. It has also hosted big music events. On April 25, 2012, the famous ex-Beatle Paul McCartney performed a concert there. About 30,000 fans came to see him during his On the Run Tour. This was his first concert in Florianópolis.

Paul McCartney returned to Ressacada for another concert in October 2024. He performed as part of his Got Back Tour, bringing more music to the stadium.
