Ethel Rosalie Harraden was born in Islington, England, in 1857. Her father, Samuel Harraden, was an agent who worked in London and Calcutta. Ethel loved music and studied at the famous Royal Academy of Music. After finishing her studies, she became a skilled pianist. She also started writing her own music. Later, Ethel married Frank Glover. They made their home in a town called Leamington Spa. Ethel became very interested in writing music for plays and shows. Sometimes, she worked with her brother, Herbert Harraden, on these projects. She also wrote reviews about music for the Leamington Spa Courier newspaper. Her husband owned this newspaper. Ethel Rosalie Glover passed away in 1917 in Leamington Spa, England. She was sixty years old.
