What Does the Eudonia asterisca Moth Look Like?
This moth is quite small. When its wings are spread out, its wingspan is usually between 21 and 23 millimeters. That's about the length of a small coin!
Its Wings
The front wings of the Eudonia asterisca moth are a dull brownish-yellow color. The parts of the wings closest to its body and the tips of its wings are a darker gray-brown.
The back wings are a lighter color, a mix of yellowish-gray and white. They have a clear, dark gray crescent shape, which looks a bit like a tiny moon. The very edge of these back wings is also dark gray.
When Can You See It?
Adult Eudonia asterisca moths are usually seen flying around in January. This is when they are most active.
