Eva Vik (born Eva Doležalová on May 5, 1991) is a talented filmmaker from the Czech Republic. She is a director, writer, and producer. She is known for her films like Serpentine (2023), Raven (2022), and Carte Blanche (2019).
Eva has won many film awards for her growing career. These include the Breakout Director's Award and the Best Director award at the HollyShorts Film Festival. Her short film Serpentine was nominated at the Tribeca Film Festival. It also has over 2 million views online. In 2019, Eva was honored at Centre Pompidou for her special film series. Eva Vik's Early Life and Learning
At age 10, Eva became very interested in movies and theater. She took part in local plays and film projects. This gave her a first look at acting and writing scripts.
When she was 18, she went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. This helped her get roles in films directed by famous people like Shane Black. After her studies, she moved to Paris. Eva Vik speaks many languages, including English, French, Czech, Italian, and Polish.
Eva Vik's Film Career
In 2017, Eva Vik moved to Los Angeles. She wanted to become a screenwriter and director. Her first short film was called Sound of Sun. It starred famous actors like Sean Penn.
She then made several other short films:
- Carte Blanche (2019) featured Dylan Sprouse and Suki Waterhouse. This film won the Audience Award at the Mammoth Film Festival. It also earned Eva a Breakout Director Award.
- Maestro (2020) starred Clara McGregor. For this film, Eva won the Best Director Award.
In 2022 and 2023, Eva Vik wrote and directed two science fiction films. These were Serpentine and Raven. Serpentine starred Barbara Palvin and premiered at the Tribeca Festival. It won awards for Best Genre Short Film. Raven was released by Vogue magazine. It also won an award at the HollyShorts Film Festival.
Eva Vik has also worked with the luxury brand Bulgari. She directed the short film Serpentine for them. She also directed a Bulgari Omnia perfume ad campaign. This campaign starred Cailee Spaeny.

In 2023, Eva Vik shared something important. She decided to use her maternal grandmother's last name, Vik. She wanted to honor her grandmother, who was a strong and independent woman. Eva felt her grandmother had a big impact on her life.
