Eva Roma Maria Drummond (born Eva de Goede on March 23, 1989) is a famous field hockey player from the Netherlands. She is known for being a triple Olympic champion, which means she has won three gold medals at the Olympic Games. She helped the Dutch team win gold in 2008, 2012, and 2020. She also earned a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics.
Eva played as a midfielder, a key position in field hockey, for the Dutch club AH&BC from 2010 to 2021. After that, she moved to play for HGC. Her amazing skills led her to be named the FIH Player of the Year in both 2018 and 2019. This award is given to the best field hockey player in the world.
In 2022, Eva married Tim Drummond, who is also a field hockey player from South Africa.
Eva was not chosen for the Dutch hockey team for the 2024 Summer Olympics. This marked the end of her long and successful international career. She played 266 international matches, making her the second most capped player in Dutch history.
