Sir Evan Lloyd (died 1586) was an important Welsh politician. He lived at Bodidris in Llanarmon yn Iâl, Denbighshire. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) and also served as the High Sheriff of Denbighshire. He even joined a military trip led by the Earl of Leicester.

Evan Lloyd was the oldest son of John Lloyd. He held several important jobs in his community.

He was a Justice of the Peace (JP) for Denbighshire starting in 1575. A JP was a local official who helped keep the peace and dealt with minor legal matters. He also became a JP for Flintshire in 1579 and for Merioneth in 1583.

In 1582, he was chosen as the High Sheriff of Denbighshire. This role meant he was the chief law enforcement officer in the county for a year. He also became the custos rotulorum of Denbighshire in 1575, which meant he was the keeper of the county's records.

In 1584, Evan Lloyd was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Denbighshire. This meant he represented his area in the Parliament of England, helping to make laws.

Evan Lloyd was a strong Protestant. In 1586, he fought alongside the Dutch in a war, led by Robert Sidney, 1st Earl of Leicester. He died in London the next year while on his way home. The Earl had made him a Knight banneret, which was a special honor given on the battlefield. He was buried in his home parish on March 3, 1587.

Evan Lloyd married Elizabeth. She was the daughter of Thomas Mostyn from Flintshire. Elizabeth was also the widow of John Wyn Iâl. Her grandfather was Sir William Griffith of Penrhyn Castle. Sir William Griffith was related to Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk, who married Queen Mary Tudor.

Evan and Elizabeth had a daughter and a son named John Lloyd. Their son, Sir John Lloyd, also became a knight and a Member of Parliament for Bodidris. He married the daughter of John Salesbury (MP), who was part of the Salusbury family from Lleweni Hall.

Sir John Lloyd was part of a group of landowners in Denbighshire who supported Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex. He worked with his brother-in-law, Captain John Salusbury, to raise soldiers for a military trip to Cádiz with the Earl of Essex. He also joined the Earl in Ireland.

Sir John Lloyd was involved in some disagreements with Sir Richard Trevor of Trevalyn Hall. Sir Richard Trevor later became the Vice-Admiral of North Wales.
