Evie Ferris was born on February 18, 1997. She is a talented Australian ballerina. She is also a popular member of the children's music group, The Wiggles.
Evie's Early Life
Evie Ferris grew up in Cairns, Australia. She started dancing and performing when she was only four years old. By 2007, when she was ten, she had a special role. She performed in a show called Don Quixote. This was a production by The Australian Ballet.
Becoming a Ballerina
Evie showed great talent from a young age. She was one of only eight dancers chosen for a special role. She auditioned with 150 other young dancers. In 2010, when she was twelve, Evie moved to Melbourne. She joined the famous Australian Ballet School.
She toured with the school's Dancer's Company. This happened in both 2014 and 2015. In 2015, she also went on a student exchange trip to Canada. Later that year, Evie was chosen to join The Australian Ballet. She became the second Indigenous Australian ballerina to join the company. The first was Ella Havelka.
Joining The Wiggles
In 2021, Evie Ferris joined The Wiggles. The group was expanding its lineup. She first appeared as the second Blue Wiggle. Later, she changed to become a Yellow Wiggle.
Evie is a Taribelang and Djabugay woman. This makes her the first Indigenous Australian to be a main member of The Wiggles. She brings her amazing dance skills and bright personality to the group.
