Ewansville, also sometimes called Ewanville, is a small community in Burlington County, New Jersey. It's known as an "unincorporated community," which means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own separate local government. Instead, it's part of larger townships nearby.
This community is centered around a busy spot where a major road, US 206, crosses over the North Branch Rancocas Creek. This area was once important for trains, too!
Where is Ewansville Located?
Ewansville is found near a special spot where three different townships meet. These townships are Eastampton, Pemberton, and Southampton.
- Pemberton Township is generally located north of the creek and east of US 206.
- Eastampton Township is mostly to the west of US 206.
- Southampton Township covers the rest of the area.
Along US 206, you can find some mobile home parks. However, there are also regular houses on streets like Railroad Avenue and Indian Trail.
A Bit of History
Long ago, Ewansville was a stop on a railroad line called the Philadelphia and Long Branch Railway. This railway later became part of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Ewansville was also the starting point for a short train track that went to Vincentown. This shows how important the area was for travel and trade in the past.
Radio Waves in Ewansville
Ewansville is home to one FM radio station, 107.9 W300CZ. This station is a "translator," which means it re-broadcasts the signal from another station, WPRB-HD3. The station is known as Oldies 107.9 and 95.1 WOLD. Even though it's licensed to Ewansville, the signal might not always be heard clearly in the community itself.
