Ejiya "Eya" Cruz Laure, born on March 21, 1999, is a talented Filipino volleyball player. She used to be the team captain for the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team in the UAAP. Eya also played for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League, which is a professional league. Currently, she is a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team, representing her country in international games.

About Eya Laure's Life
Eya Laure comes from a family where sports are very important. Her dad, Eddie Laure, was a professional basketball player. He was known as "The Dominator" and "The Bounty Hunter" when he played in the PBA.
Family of Athletes
Eya's older sister, Ennajie Laure, also plays volleyball. She was Eya's teammate on the UST Golden Tigresses and Chery Tiggo Crossovers teams. Her younger brother, Echo Laure, plays basketball for NU.
Eya's Education
In June 2022, Eya finished her college degree in tourism management. Later in August 2022, she started studying for her master's degree. She is focusing on business administration with a major in entrepreneurship.
Eya Laure's Volleyball Journey
Eya Laure has had an amazing journey in volleyball, starting from high school and moving up to professional leagues.
High School Achievements
Eya played for the UST Junior Tigresses in the UAAP Juniors division. She played from Season 75 to 80. During this time, her team won one gold medal, four silver medals, and one bronze medal. Eya also won many individual awards. She was named the "Season’s Most Valuable Player" in UAAP Season 78 Girls' Volleyball.
College Volleyball Career
After high school, Eya joined the Seniors division with the UST Tigresses. In UAAP Season 81 Women's Volleyball, her team won a silver medal. Eya was named "Rookie of the Year" and "1st Best Outside Spiker" that season. She was also the best attacker and ranked second for Most Valuable Player.
Eya returned to play for the UST Tigresses after the COVID-19 pandemic. She played in UAAP Season 84 and UAAP Season 85. Her team finished 4th in both seasons. Eya was the top scorer in both Season 84 and Season 85, even though she didn't officially receive an award for it.
In 2023, Eya decided to leave the UAAP early. She chose to play in the PVL, which is a professional volleyball league. She joined the Chery Tiggo Crossovers team.
Professional Volleyball Career
Eya Laure started her professional career in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference. Her team, Chery Tiggo Crossovers, finished 8th out of 13 teams.
A few months later, they played in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference. This time, her team finished 4th out of 12 teams. Eya won her first individual award in a professional league. She was named the "1st Best Outside Spiker."
In the 2024 PNVF Champions League for Women, Eya and the Chery Tiggo Crossovers won a bronze medal. This was her first medal in a professional league since 2019. Later that same year, she left the team.
