Ejiya "Eya" Cruz Laure (born March 21, 1999) is a talented Filipino volleyball player. She used to be the team captain for the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team in the UAAP. Eya also played for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League. She is currently a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team.

About Eya Laure's Life

Eya Laure comes from a family of athletes. Her father, Eddie Laure, was a professional basketball player. He was known as "The Dominator" and "The Bounty Hunter" during his time in the PBA. Eya's mother is Jovie Laure.

Eya's older sister, Ennajie Laure, also plays volleyball. She was Eya's teammate on the UST Golden Tigresses and Chery Tiggo Crossovers. Her younger brother, Echo Laure, plays basketball for NU's boys' team.

In June 2022, Eya finished her college degree in tourism management. In August 2022, she started studying for a master's degree. She is focusing on business administration with a major in entrepreneurship.

Eya Laure's Volleyball Journey

High School Volleyball Career

Eya Laure played for the UST Junior Tigresses in the UAAP Juniors league. She played from Season 75 to Season 80. During this time, her team won one gold medal, four silver medals, and one bronze medal. Eya also won many individual awards. She was named the "Season’s Most Valuable Player" for UAAP Season 78 Girls' Volleyball.

College Volleyball Career

Eya then joined the Seniors division with the UST Tigresses. In her first year, during UAAP Season 81 Women's Volleyball, her team won a silver medal. Eya was recognized as the “Rookie of the Year” and the “1st Best Outside Spiker.” She was also the best attacker that season.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Eya returned to play for the UST Tigresses. She played in UAAP Season 84 and UAAP Season 85 Women's Volleyball. Her team finished 4th in both seasons. Eya was the top scorer in both Season 84 and Season 85.

Eya decided to skip her final year in the UAAP to play professionally. In 2023, she joined the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the PVL.

Professional Volleyball Career

Eya Laure made her professional debut in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference. Her team, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, finished 8th out of 13 teams.

A few months later, they played in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference. The team finished 4th out of 12 teams. Eya was named the "1st Best Outside Spiker." This was her first individual award in a professional league.

In the 2024 PNVF Champions League for Women, Eya won a bronze medal with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. This was her first medal in a professional career since 2019. Eya left the team later that year.
