Ennajie "EJ" Cruz Laure (born on July 31, 1997) is a talented Filipino volleyball player. She plays as an outside hitter for the Nxled Chameleons team. EJ was also a member and former captain of the UST Golden Tigresses college volleyball team. She even played for the Philippine national team!

EJ Laure's Volleyball Journey
High School Achievements
EJ Laure was a star player for the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Girls Volleyball Team. She led them to win the championship in Season 76 of the UAAP Juniors Volleyball tournament. During this season, she was named the best attacker and the most valuable player (MVP). EJ also earned the "Best Server" award in Season 74 and the "Best Receiver" award in Season 75.
College Career Highlights
EJ started her college volleyball career with the UST Golden Tigresses. She played as a guest player in the Shakey's V-League 11th Season 1st Conference. Her team reached the semi-finals, and EJ won the "Best Scorer" award.
In her first year playing for UST in UAAP Season 77, she was named "Rookie of the Year." In her second year, EJ and UST finished fourth in the Shakey's V-League 12th Season Collegiate Conference, where she won the "2nd Best Open Hitter" award.
EJ became the team captain for UAAP Season 78. Later in 2016, she led the UST Golden Tigresses to the semi-finals of the Shakey's V-League 13th Season Reinforced Open Conference. They were the only college team to make it that far, finishing in fourth place. She also won another "2nd Best Open Hitter" award. That same year, her team won the championship at UNIGAMES 2016.
UAAP Success
EJ helped the Golden Tigresses achieve a third-place finish in UAAP Season 79. This was their first time in the Final Four in four years! She was one of the league's top players, ranking third in scoring, eighth in spiking, and fifth in digging.
In 2017, EJ and her teammate Rondina won back-to-back championships at the University Games. Unfortunately, EJ had a shoulder injury during UAAP Season 80, which kept her from playing until Season 82 in 2020.
Playing for Professional Teams
EJ started her semi-professional career with the Foton Tornadoes in 2016. Her team finished as runner-up in the 2016 PSL All-Filipino Conference. They then won the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Conference title the same year! As part of the Foton Tornadoes, EJ also played in international club championships. She was named "1st Best Open Hitter" in the 2017 PSL All-Filipino Conference and won a bronze medal in the 2017 PSL Grand Prix Conference.
International Experience
EJ was part of the Philippine youth team that played in the 2015 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship. This important tournament was held in Pasig, Philippines.
Premier Volleyball League Journey
After the Foton team changed its name to the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League in 2021, EJ continued to play for them. She stayed with the team until 2024, when she joined her current team, the Nxled Chameleons.
EJ Laure's Family and Life
EJ Laure comes from a family of athletes! Her father, Eddie Laure, was a professional basketball player known as "The Dominator" in the PBA. Her mother is Jovie Laure.
EJ's younger sister, Eya Laure, is also a talented volleyball player. She plays as a utility spiker for the girls' volleyball team at UST High School. Her younger brother, Eco Laure, plays basketball for NU.
EJ is currently studying at University of Santo Tomas, where she is taking up BS Sports and Wellness Management. She has a child named Scarlet Cariño and is engaged to Bugoy Cariño. They plan to get married in March 2025.
