Ezra Mam (born 31 January 2003) is an Australian professional rugby league player. He plays as a five-eighth (a key attacking position) for the Brisbane Broncos team in the National Rugby League (NRL).

About Ezra Mam

Ezra Mam was born in Sydney, Australia. His family has Aboriginal roots from Far North Queensland. When he was young, Ezra moved to Queensland and grew up in Ipswich. He started playing junior rugby league for a team called the Goodna Eagles. Ezra also went to Ambrose Treacy College in Brisbane, where he played rugby union. When he was just 13 years old, Ezra was invited to join the Brisbane Broncos' special training program for young players.

Ezra's Rugby League Journey

Starting His Career

Ezra Mam showed great talent early on. In the 2021 Intrust Super Cup season, he played for the Souths Logan Magpies. He was so good that he won the Rookie of the Year award! In only 11 games, he scored 13 tries and helped set up 8 more.

Playing for the Broncos (2022 Onwards)

Ezra made his big debut in the NRL for the Brisbane Broncos in 2022. This was in Round 11 of the 2022 NRL season. In his very first game, he helped his team score two tries, leading them to a 36–12 win against the Newcastle Knights.

Just one week later, in Round 12, Ezra scored his first ever NRL try! This helped the Broncos win 35–24 against the Gold Coast Titans. Overall, in 2022, Ezra played 13 games and scored 6 tries. The Broncos finished that season in ninth place.

In 2023, Ezra continued to shine. In Round 2 of the 2023 NRL season, he scored two tries against the North Queensland Cowboys, helping his team win 28–16. Later that season, in Round 8, he was temporarily sent off the field for a tackle during a game the Broncos won 26–16.

Ezra had an amazing year in 2023. He played 25 games and scored 18 tries! This was the most tries scored by any five-eighth in a single season. Ezra also played in the 2023 NRL Grand Final against Penrith. Even though the Broncos lost a close game 24-26, Ezra scored an incredible three tries in the second half!

In the 2024 NRL season, Ezra played 19 games for the Broncos and scored 9 tries. The team did not make it to the finals that year, finishing twelfth on the ladder.
