Ezra Mam (born 31 January 2003) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He plays as a five-eighth for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL).

About Ezra Mam

Ezra Alam Eric Tom Amber-Mam was born in Sydney, Australia. His family has Aboriginal roots from Far North Queensland. When he was young, Ezra moved to Queensland. He grew up in Ipswich. He started playing junior rugby league for the Goodna Eagles.

Ezra went to Ambrose Treacy College in Indooroopilly, Brisbane. There, he also played rugby union for the school's top team. At just thirteen years old, Ezra was invited to join the Brisbane Broncos' special rugby league training program.

Ezra Mam's Rugby League Journey

Starting His Career

Ezra Mam quickly showed his talent in rugby league. In the 2021 Intrust Super Cup season, he played for the Souths Logan Magpies. He was so good that he won the Rookie of the Year award. In only eleven games, he scored thirteen tries. He also helped his team score eight more tries and kicked seven goals.

Playing for the Brisbane Broncos

Ezra made his big debut in the NRL for the Brisbane team. This happened in round 11 of the 2022 NRL season. In his first game, he helped his team score two tries. Brisbane won that game 36–12 against the Newcastle team.

In the very next game, round 12, Ezra scored his first NRL try. This helped Brisbane win 35–24 against the Gold Coast Titans. During the 2022 season, Ezra played thirteen games for Brisbane. He scored six tries in total. The Brisbane team finished the season in ninth place.

Highlights of 2023

The 2023 NRL season was a big one for Ezra. In round 2, he scored two tries against their rivals, the North Queensland. Brisbane won that game 28–16. Later in the season, in round 22, Ezra scored two more tries. This helped Brisbane beat the Sydney Roosters 32-10.

Ezra played twenty-five games for Brisbane in 2023. He scored eighteen tries, which was the highest number for a five-eighth player that season. Ezra also played in the 2023 NRL Grand Final. Although Brisbane lost 24-26 to Penrith, Ezra scored an amazing three tries in the second half of that important game.

Seasons 2024 and 2025

In round 5 of the 2024 NRL season, Ezra scored two tries for Brisbane. However, his team narrowly lost 32-34 to Melbourne. He played nineteen games for Brisbane in 2024 and scored nine tries. The club did not make it to the finals that year.

Ezra returned to play for Brisbane in round 11 of the 2025 NRL season. His team lost 30-26 to St. George Illawarra. The next week, he played against Manly at Brookvale Oval. On 9 June 2025, Ezra was chosen for the Queensland team for game two of the 2025 State of Origin series. He was named as a player on the extended bench.
