FLIP burger boutique, often called FLIP, is a popular restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. It's known for serving modern American food, especially creative burgers! The first FLIP restaurant opened in Atlanta in 2008.
Many food critics have praised FLIP for its tasty food and cool atmosphere. Some people even say that FLIP made other burger restaurants in Atlanta try harder to be the best!
The Story of FLIP
The idea for FLIP came from a person named Barry Mills. He wanted to make burgers more exciting and different. He saw new burger places opening in cities like Los Angeles and New York City. But he felt they were too traditional. Barry wanted FLIP to be new and innovative, not just another diner-style burger joint.
FLIP started to grow! On December 19, 2010, they opened a new restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama, at a place called The Summit. One of the owners of the first Atlanta restaurant, Ron Stewart, grew up in Birmingham.
Then, on October 19, 2010, FLIP opened another location in Buckhead, a part of Atlanta. This one was in the Tuxedo Festival Shopping Center. Barry Mills worked with a design company called ai3 to make the inside of the restaurants look unique and modern.
The company also hoped to open restaurants in other big cities. They thought about Washington, D.C., New York City, and Miami. Barry Mills believed that even if prices might go up a little, FLIP could become a popular restaurant chain all across the United States.
